Fifteen minutes away from the campsite is Cap 'Découverte. This is an activity park in an old mine, where both younger and older children can enjoy playing.
You can go water skiing, sledding, skiing, down the mountain in the go-kart or strum at altitude between two mountain walls. There is a swimming pool with slides and a lake with a beach.
The River Tarn and Aveyron are excellent for canoeing. In season, we regularly organize pleasant canoeing trips on the Aveyron. We drive jointly from the site with own transportation to the river Aveyron, where we get an explanation about the canoeing and the route to follow.
The company where we are going is a member of the Federation Francaise de Canoe / Kayak and this ensures quality and safety. The minimum age is 5 years.
Many activities and festivals are organized in the region. Very worthwhile to visit are the summer music festivals in Albi and Cordes, fête de la musique in Albi (late June) and festival musique Ciel sur Cordes (late July). The Medieval festivals in Cordes (early July), the celebration of quatorze Juilliet in Albi (July 14) and the wine festivals in Gaillac (early August).
It is certainly worthwhile to explore the region around the campsite go hiking or cycling. You can enjoy the beautiful views (on clear days even see the Pyrenees) and the natural environment in which the site is located.
Because of the hilly nature of the region you can also make very beautiful bike rides, but a reasonable condition will be required. We also set out a number of bike rides from the campsite that are doable. You will find information and possible bike routes at the reception.
Often you will encounter beautiful flowers (April / May show many species of wild orchids) and also meet with deer, wild boars, foxes, rabbits and also hares are not uncommon in the area. The beautiful walks are suitable for hikers who want to make a great trip and for people who want to do a tour in the area. We have many hiking trails, including some that we have discovered ourselves with start/finish at the camp.
